September 18 & 19, 2010

To preserve and maintain the Historical Village, the Livingston Centre Historical Society has several fundraising events throughout the year, The largest is known as Family Fall Fest. In 2010, this will be the 20th annual festival formally known as Remembering Yesteryear and Fowlerville Fall Festival.

Not only will you be touring the Historical Village, but on display are several antique tractors, including a tractor pull put on by County Line Antique Tractor Club..

On the grounds you will be able to witness the making of lost arts, such as weaving on an antique loom, candle making, and spinning yarn from wool on a wooden wheel.

Visitors will also be able to view memorabilia from Baseball Hall of Fame Member Charlie Gehringer who was a Fowlerville native. "The Mechanical Man" Gehringer was a second baseman for the Detroit Tigers from 1924 to 1942.

Children of all ages can enjoy games and toys from an era to long ago for even their parents to remember.

2010 new additions include a Dolly & Me Tea Party for the "Little Ladies" and Young at heart, a History Bee (like a spelling bee, except answering questions of Livingston County History), an Apple Pie contest, and RIDES provided by Arnolds Amusements.

Don't forget to join us for a "Sunday Service" at the historical church with a community picnic to follow.

Call (517) 223-8186 for more information.   *Camping Available*

The Family Fall Fest is scheduled for September 18-19, 2010.
